Your first week: a simple plan
Updated October 11, 2026
You do not need to finish everything at once. This plan takes a few short sessions and gets you to your first online order.
Day 1: your details and your menu
- Finish the setup wizard so your website exists.
- Open Settings and add your phone, email and street address in Café profile. See Update your café profile.
- Add your menu, starting with your best sellers. If you have many items, use a spreadsheet. See Add many menu items at once with a spreadsheet.
Day 2: make it look like you
- Add photos to your top items. See Upload photos that sell.
- Add your logo and colors. See Customize your branding and colors.
- Add your social links under Settings, Social links.
Day 3: set up ordering
- Set your business hours and your prep times. See Set your business hours.
- Add your tax rate and tip buttons.
- Connect Square so customers can pay by card, and Uber Direct if you offer delivery. See How payments work.
Day 4: go live
Start your free trial from Publish, then publish. Your website stays private until you do. See Your free trial and billing.
Day 5: test it
Place a test order yourself and watch it arrive on your Kitchen Display. See Place a test order.
Day 6 and 7: tell people
Put your link in your social profile, on your Google Business Profile and in a message to your regulars. See Share your website and get your first orders.
Tip: The Get your café ready checklist on your dashboard shows what is left, so you always know the next step.
