How payments work
Updated October 2, 2026
Awwranges doesn't hold your money. Customers pay through your own Square account, so deposits go straight to you.
Ways customers can pay
- Card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, once you've connected Square. See Connect Square.
- Pay at counter, for takeaway and dine-in orders. No card form, you collect payment at your register. See Takeaway, Dine in and Pay at counter.
- A Square Terminal, for walk-in orders you want paid by card at the counter. See Pair a Square Terminal.
Apple Pay needs Safari on Apple hardware, and Google Pay needs a supported browser. Each wallet only appears when the customer's device supports it.
What's added to each order
Food subtotal, minus any promo discount, plus tax on the discounted food, plus the delivery fee for delivery orders, plus the tip. Tax is never charged on the delivery fee. Set these up in Set up tax rates and Configure tip presets.
Fees
Square charges its normal card processing fees to your Square account. Awwranges charges no commission on orders. Your subscription is separate. See Your free trial and billing.
Refunds
See How refunds work.
Note: Card processing through Square requires your business to be in a country Square supports, currently including the United States.
