Set up tax rates

You can add one or several named taxes, and they're added to every order automatically.

Add a tax

1. 1Open Settings and find Tax rates.
2. 2Add a tax and give it a name, for example "State Sales Tax".
3. 3Enter its percentage.
4. 4Add more if you have, say, a city tax as well.
5. 5Save.

What tax applies to

• Tax is calculated on the food subtotal, after any promo discount.
• It applies to takeaway, dine-in and delivery orders.
• It is never charged on the delivery fee.
• It's calculated on our servers at checkout, not taken from the customer's browser.

Where it shows

Each tax appears as its own line at checkout, on the order tracking page and on every receipt.

No tax?

Leave the list empty. No tax is charged, and that's a valid choice if tax is already included in your prices.
