Understand order statuses

Updated October 2, 2026

Every order moves through four working statuses, and it can be cancelled at any point.

The statuses

  1. Received: the order just came in.
  2. Preparing: your kitchen has started it.
  3. Ready: it's finished. For takeaway and dine-in it's ready for the customer. For delivery it's ready for the courier.
  4. Completed: it's been handed over or delivered.

An order can also be Cancelled.

Move an order forward

On the Orders page

  1. Open the order, or use the row's button.
  2. Click the button for the next stage.
  3. A confirmation appears.

On the Kitchen Display

  1. Find the order's card.
  2. Tap the big bump button. The card moves to the next column automatically.

Fix a mistake

If you tap the wrong button, the confirmation includes Undo for a few seconds. Tap it to put the order back, with no need to hunt it down later.

What customers see

Customers follow the same stages on their order tracking page, which updates on its own. See What customers see after they order.

Tip: Completing an order is also what awards a loyalty stamp, if you've switched loyalty on.
