Item details: labels, dietary tags and nutrition
Updated October 2, 2026
Beyond the basics, each item has optional details that help customers choose. Find them when you edit an item on the Menu page.
Sale price (Was)
Enter a Was ($) price to show a crossed-out original price next to the current price. It's a display price only, the customer is always charged the current Price.
Primary label
Use Primary label to flag an item with a short badge, for example Bestseller. Pick a ready-made label, or choose a custom label and type it. A custom label is shown on your website exactly as you type it.
Dietary tags
- Switch on Show dietary tags.
- Pick up to two tags from: Veg, Vegan, Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Nut Free, Eggless, Spicy.
- Save and publish.
If you try to pick a third, you'll see a reminder that two is the limit.
Warning: Dietary tags are a guide for customers, not a medical guarantee. If an ingredient is a serious allergy risk, tell customers to ask your staff.
Nutrition info
Switch on Show nutrition info to show Calories (kcal) and Protein (g) on the item. Leave it off if you don't want to publish numbers.
Feature an item on your homepage
Switch on Featured on homepage for the dishes you most want to show off. Some menu layouts spotlight a featured dish, using the first featured item's photo. The other highlights on your homepage are picked automatically from your orderable items and change daily, so a sold-out item isn't shown there.
Tip: Sale prices, labels and tags are display details. They don't change what the customer pays or how taxes are calculated.
