Billing problems and lapsed subscriptions
Updated October 2, 2026
If a renewal payment fails, or your subscription ends, the portal tells you straight away. Acting quickly keeps your site online.
A failed payment
A red bar appears at the top of the portal and Billing shows your subscription on hold: "Your last payment failed. Update your payment method to keep your site live."
- Click Update payment method in the bar or on the Billing page.
- Enter a working card on the secure page.
- The subscription becomes active again.
If your subscription has ended
The bar says "Your subscription has ended". Click Subscribe to start again.
What happens while it's lapsed
When a subscription lapses:
- Portal access is locked straight away. You'll see a screen titled "Your subscription has lapsed" with a Go to billing button.
- Online ordering is paused.
- Your public site stays live for 7 days, and the lockout screen counts the days left.
- After 7 days, your public site goes offline until billing is updated.
Getting back online
Update your billing. Your portal, ordering and website return. Your menu, orders and customers are kept throughout, nothing is deleted.
Tip: If you're stuck on the lockout screen, use the billing button on that screen. It works even while the rest of the portal is locked.
